Caprice Swing

Caprice Swing honed their skills as a musical unit down at the famous Le Quecumbar's legendary gypsy jazz jam nights as well as running their own jam session at esteemed venue Cable Cafe.

The London based trio is named after their rendition of Paganini's famous Caprice 24, and embodies the spirit of Gypsy and Swing music with heavy emphasis on groove. The soulful and energetic trio's lineup brings together violinist Joseph Paxton who blends his numerous playing styles centered around Irish trad and classical music into a jazz style of violin playing that is completely his own; Guitarist Dave Ahmed, a prolific veteran of London's Gypsy jazz scene known for his impeccable sense of rhythm and imaginative soloing; and George Richardson on double bass bringing his own unique style by melding a wide range musical influences. most notably his featured bowed bass solo's and swinging accompaniment. Altogether this group enriched musical identity that since their inception has had audiences all over London swinging and taking to the dance floor.
